Looking south from Darby Road in Waverley, towards Highway 93 climbing the hill in the distance. Old Highway 27 meets 93 at the signals in the centre of this photo.Oddly enough, despite it following the general alignment of the highway, Darby Road was never part of it. The realignment occurred prior to the province taking over the highway in the 1920s.

Northbound Highway 400 at the Severn River. The no parking sign on the right there is a relic from the days when the bridge carried both directions of old Highway 69, one lane per direction. Today, over 20 years since the highway was widened and re-numbered, it sits facing away from traffic, forgotten, rusted, and faded.I like this little reminder of the way the road was before, back how I remember it when I was growing up.
